Lucky Number 7

On January 1st, GreenSpot celebrated its seventh anniversary, started at the rock bottom of the downturn in 2010. And while our business has certainly changed over the years, our mission and focus haven’t.

We’re here to reverse climate change through the built environment by creating energy-generating homes and buildings that are carbon sinks.

Since 2010, we’ve transacted $50 million in these specialty, high-performance properties and helped hundreds of home and buildings owners reduce carbon, energy, water and waste.

In 2015, we became a certified B Corporation, which provides transparency and credibility to our environmental claim. This week, we started a major renovation and energy-efficiency overhaul at our new home on East 26th Avenue, two blocks from Denver’s “Five Points” – a project we intend to be net-positive energy. And our first certified project this year is a net-positive home in Lafayette with a HERS score of -1.

The year is off to a great start, and we intend to do everything we can at scale in the built environment to avert the worst effects of climate change. The planet needs more like-minded businesses and people on deck NOW.

Thank you for allowing us to support you in creating properties that benefit the people who inhabit them and the planet. Rolling up our sleeves alongside our clients to create life-supporting homes and buildings is one of our our greatest joys.

(GreenSpot 1.0. While our services have changed since 2010, our focus has remained constant.)
